    • Close Rheumatoid Arthritis

I've dealt with RA for the last 15 years. Recently it became so out of control that I had to quit my job and apply for disability. My world is very small and pain is still the main focus.

      Treatments

      Folic Acid Somewhat Helpful
Taken for nausa. Works O.K. ,still suffer somewhat.
      Methotrexate Somewhat Helpful
It keeps me from being in a continual flare, but do not eliminate the pain or fatigue.
      Orencia Too Soon to Tell
      Just started and am hopeful.
      Prednisone Working / Worked
Yes, prednisone works. It's just the nasty side effects, the weight gain, the anemia, the jitters. Maintain on a low dose, move up with flares.
      Swimming Working / Worked
I swim 6 days a week at the local YMCA. It is the reason I can still walk. Very beneficial. Also helps with pain levels.
