I was diagnosed with PD last fall 11-15-06 to be exact, I am a firefighter full time and build houses on my off time. The diagnoses was a kick in the teeth but it's the hand I was dealt so I will play it and I always play too WIN! Plus I have a beautiful wife and three girls depending on me, no time to stop!

If i could also work out how to do a group hug i would, I just want to say to all of my friends on this site, how very very valuable you are to me. As l live alone and have pd, i really dont get much support, except for sitting here on my computer typing messages from Australia . I hope for all of us that soon there will be a cure, and that we can all then have a massive celebration, wouldnt that be nice ! Thank you all and God Bless you all for being so nice to me

Hope your doing well, gosh i thought i was young to be diagnosed , you are younger eeeeek! but a positive attitude keeps me going, i will kick this diseases ass, watch me! Cause i refuse to have it

Close Parkinson's Disease
I was diagnosed with PD last year (11-15-06). I have gotten used to the idea of having PD so now it's time to just live my life. The trips I planned on taking when I retire are just going to have to happen a little earlier in life. But there is no need to slow down, life is too short to go slow, and there is no need to sit and watch it go by. My wife and kids depend on me to be there for them and I promised them I will be.
Treatments
- Sinemet Working / Worked
- At first it took some time to get used to it but now that I have finally got into a rutine, the Sinemet works great
