Close Bone Marrow Transplant

I was diagnosed with Biphenotypic Leukemia in Sept. 07. After relapsing on a chemo program, I had a double cord blood bone marrow transplant on Oct. 6, 1998. They did not give me much of a chance to get out of the hospital but it has been 7 months and I just started back to work. Keeping a very positive outlook and attitude and the help of God got me through some very bad times. I just take one day at a time and tackle one problem at a time as it comes,

Treatments

Cellcept Working / Worked

I did not take it very long until they changed my medications but it seemed to work.

Cyclosporine Working / Worked

Yes it does seem to work. It does make me get sick sometimes, but eating seems to help. My doses change alot as they check my levels every two weeks now

Methotrexate Working / Worked

Ive gotten this both through my ommoya resevoir and po. It worked well and I had no side effects from it.
