About Me
I was diagnosed with Lupus SLE in 2005. I am a 30 something :) happily married mother of 2 boys ages 5yrs 1 yr. Over the course of my illness, I have also been diagnosed with osteoperosis (fractured arm & foot), IBS, Sjogrens Syndrome & restless leg syndrome. I also have severe herniated discs in my neck that cause medaily chronic pain. I am extremely sun / heat sensitive so I need to be inside almost all of the time which is very depressing for me, especially with my boys, but I try to make the best of it. I am looking for Lupus friends for mutual support!

Hi honey. I havent been myself lately and havent been on DS as much either. No desire to connect with anyone or anything when I dont feel well. Hope you are feeling ok and all is well over on your end. Thank you for thinking of me. huge hugs

Hi, thanks very much for your message and the friend invite. It was bery kind of you to offer your support when you also have so much to cope with. I hope your having a good day. Fortunately i am feeling a little better today. The palpitations is very scary. I just layed on the sofa the other evening until about 2am, just incase i had to go out and get help. Fortunately i started feeling better and went to bed. I wasnt sure if i would wake up the next day. Ive been getting them a lot recently, so i've made an apppointment to see the doctor on monday. Do you think its the lupus that causes it?

We had a couple of cool days and then it went right back to the 90's. I am praying it drops 40 degrees soon and for a great Florida winter. How are you feeling? I was feeling better for a few weeks but having lymph node problems and a lot of fatigue right now.

I was diagnosed with Lupus SLE in 9/05
Treatments
- Plaquenil Working / Worked
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- Worked woll at 20 mgs, not as well at 15 mg but still feel a little difference. Side effects are horrible - tons of weight gain, insomnia, moon face, plus i have osteoperosis so very at risk for fracture while on it. Want to start to taper, but just feel like I dont have the strength physically or mentally for additional pain.
Close Restless Legs Syndrome
I was diagnosed with RLS in 4/09 but I have suffered from it since 1998 but I had no idea it was RLS .
Treatments
- Mirapex Working / Worked
- Works pretty god at night but I usually wake up early am with muiscle aches.
Open Sjogren's Syndrome
Diagnosed in 5/09 due to dry eyes & cavities

- Prednisone Working / Worked
Open Chronic Pain
I suffer from chronic pain fromm lupus, RLS, 2 fractures and herniated cervical discs at c4-c5, c5-c6 & c6-c7 dysectomy with fusion 3/09. Since surgery, herniated a NEW disc c5&c6 with spinal stenosis. Starting cortizone injenctions to see if helps pain and upper arm weakness, pins & needles in hands and sharp shooting pain in feet/right leg.

- Heat Working / Worked
- Hydrocodone Working / Worked
- Lyrica Not Working
- Mobic Somewhat Helpful
- Oxycodone Working / Worked
- Prednisone Working / Worked
Open Fibromyalgia
I haven't been diagnosed with fibro because I have herniated discs in my neck that cause a lot of nerve pain. So not sure if I have fibro or a nerve condiiton or both. But doctor has tried cymbalta, lyrica & savella and none have decreased pain. Currently on cymbalta & savella w/no pain relief.
