I am almost 41 years old and work as a paralegal and office manager for my mother's law firm in Montgomery, AL. I have 2 sons ages 13 and 16 and really wanted surgery to help me enjoy doing things with them and my husband more. I love life and want to do everything I can to continually make it better each day!

Close Gastric Bypass Surgery
I had gastric bypass almost 4 weeks ago on April 15th, tax day :) and I have only lost 16 pounds. I am happy about the weight loss whatever the amount, but I guess I just thought it would be more. I feel like I'm already at a plateau. I hear of other people losing so much weight quickly and it kinda discourages me. I go to a local support group for GBS and always feel better after that. I started this at 217 pounds, 5'2". I am walking 1 to 1-1/2 miles 4 to 5 days per week.
