  As I said, I read your story. My mother also not only gave me denial, but she blamed me for what happened. My mother and I have been totally and irrevocably estranged for the last ten years. Tomorrow is Mother's Day, and it tends to bring me grief because of this. I know it can't be an easy day for you either, so I thought I would come over and give you a little Mother's love in advance of tomorrow. You sounded like you could use some, and I suspect that you aren't getting it from your bio mom. So, I give you a little of mine, and also a little validation. I know how much the abuse affected you, it IS a big deal, and I sure do wish that I could have been there as a mother to protect you. You have all of my hugs and support today, and I hope that it will be a good day for you, with some joy in the present moment. Hugs & love! And a happy Mother's Day in spite of it all!

  Read what you posted, your story, and I wanted to come and give you a giant gentle hug for your courage in posting. Your mother is in denial, and that hurts. I hope you find the help and support that you need here at DS. My heart goes out to you, and I just want you to know that there IS hope for recovery and healing from all that you have gone through. Let me be the first to welcome you to our tribe/family of survivors!
