I am 52 years old and I have been in ill health most of my life. I have UC and AS and chronic Gastritis . I love to write and read. I am a Disc-World fanatic and use it as inspired reading. I make folk art pieces and I am a wife to the greatest guy in the world and the Mother of the most kind and beautiful and intelligent woman I have ever met. If it were not for my daughter and her internet research I would not be alive today.

sounds like to me you need a new doctor as well. The last one that did that, was connected to a medical instatution... I turned him in for ignoring the reason I can into see him, and instead read my medical records and send me for more test that had nothing to do whith why I had made the appointment in the first place. Try to find a homopathic doctor if you can.

Thanks! I've been gluten free but I now eat lots of gluten free cookies and potato chips and I know I feel better when I don't! I hope the scope goes well. take care!

Close Crohn's Disease & Ulcerative Colitis
I have severe ulcerative colitis and chronic gastritis as secondary symptoms of ankylosing spondylitis. I am looking for alternative treatments as I am intolerant of Aspirin-based products because of the gastritis.

- I have been trying the 2-week fast, only drinking Ensure and it has helped a lot, but the vitamins in the Ensure are beginning to hurt my stomach as I cannot normally tolerate any kind of oral vitamin.

Close Ankylosing Spondylitis
I have recently been diagnosed with AS and I cannot believe that there is a support group for it here! I am also an Ulcerative Colitis sufferer.
