  Thank You for your kind words...it is so hard with all the "could've, should've, and would've" thoughts that go round and round...but it helps to know that you have some of the same feelings. I had a cat for almost 19 years, and you'd think it would be easier to say goodbye to an old friend who had a happy & long life without any major health problems--but grief is greif and loss is loss--no matter how long we have them, or how they pass.   I'm sorry about your kitty. I lost mine last week. It is hard.
  
  I also understand the trials and tribulations of being a single mom.
