I'm 52, was forced from a very successful aerospace career onto disability when I was 49 due to nerve caused pain in both knees, lower legs, and feet. I experience burning, severe muscle aching, and what I can only say is pain that seems to come from inside the bones. Later I developed secondary osteoarthritis in both knees, ankles, and feet. The same places that already hurt from a neuropathic cause. I've had 5 back surgeries including 2 seperate lumbar fusion operations. I'm pretty much bed-ridden, either because I'm in pain, or I'm trying to avoid it. Sometimes just laying still in bed hurts. The doctors tell me to expect to spend the rest of my life this way unless some new miracle drug is developed that will eliminate or significantly reduce my pain. So here I lay, day after day, in pain and lonliness.

A High Five for that great comment about Chuck. Still keeps a smile on my face. He is still moaning --
Very busy this pm. Actually doing some laundry. Don't ask me how I am doing this. Busy day tomorrow (primary). Have a great Wednesday!

Dear Les, Sorry and a hug. Will write soon. Colleen
I can relate to leg, back, and feet pain - 3 surgeries on right foot in the same place and they haven't gotten it right yet. The fusion they did was done at the wrong angle for foot drop. I've been in pain with this for about a year and a half. Am headed for Boston soon to see if the fusion can be done over. Ouch!
God's timing makes the difference. I just kept going from doctor to doctor and now I think I've finally found the right ones for me. It has taken 10 years to reach this point.
I appreciate the effort it took to respond to me. Thank you. Will write more later. God bless.

I get jealous and insecure when my wife goes on pleasure trips that I am unable to go on.
Because I'm lonely (duh).
I'm in this group BC I suffer from constant pain in my legs and feet believed to be caused by permanently damaged nerve roots. Pain aggrevated by movement.
