    • Close Bone Cancer
      Type: Other

I was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in 2006 called hemangioembothelioma. It was a primary site tumor in my right foot big toe. Treatment was amputation.

      Treatments

      Surgery Working / Worked
So far, I'm feeling great. There's no evidence of any remaining tumor or metastasis. The loss of my toe, however, required a major adjustment in balance and, believe it or not, emotions. I still have a hard time feeling comfortable with anyone looking at my foot.
    • Close Amputees

I was diagnosed in 2006 with a rare bone cancer. I lost my big toe and part of my right foot as a result.

      Treatments

      Physical Therapy Working / Worked
Besides the surgery, I had intensive physical therapy. It worked beautifully. I hardly walk with a limp.
