Hi I read your post and put a reply.. now I'm reading that your ear damage is said to be permanent.. I think time will tell and I will hoping that the doctors are wrong about that.. as so much damage is caused by chemo and so much of it does get better in time.. Welcome to our group.. hope you find is as supportive as I have.. lots of wonderful women here who know what this is like to go through and with so much to offer each other. I was diagnosed over nine years ago and was in remission for over seven years after having surgery and carboplatin.. Wishing for the best for you. Inka

Close Ovarian Cancer
Diagnosed ovarian cancer stage 3C after hysterectomy in February 2009.
Treatments
- Carboplatin Working / Worked
- Taken two treatments. Have permanent nerve damage to the inner ear hair cells which is affecting balance and coordination from the first treatment. I understand this is rare.
- Avastin Working / Worked
- In a trial study.
