Retired. I enjoy reading, crosswords, golf, movies, and crafts. I am married and have 2 sons and 3 grandkids. We travel to LA alot and take occasional trips. I have had IBS for many years but it has gotten worse in the last 3. It causes me great anxiety and stress when I need to travel and that probably makes it worse. If anyone has any helpful medications or ideas I'd sure like to hear about them. My Dr.has helped some, but I think there must be something else I can do to help myself.

Shout Out
I bought some Align and started it yesterday. Your post helped me, so thank you! I researched it online and decided it was a very good bet. Cost is $30 for 28 pills, one per day. If it works, it will be well worth it. They say 2-3 weeks and it will change. They also have support! Thanks again. I will update as I see how it changes things for me.

Close Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
I've had IBS for many years but it has gotten worse over the last 3 and I have more incidents of diarrhea than ever before. I'm often afreaid of getting into the car for a long ride so I don't eat anything before I go and eat only when I get to my destination. I take imodium and levsin when it acts up Any other suggestions?
Treatments
- Imodium Working / Worked
- generally works but I may have to take 2 or 3 doses.
- Levsin Working / Worked
- Works but causes dry mouth and I need to have a bottle of water with me when I take it. I keep taking tiny sips just to wet my mouth and throat. Also causes slight blurring of the eyes.
- Lomotil Working / Worked
- I take this when it's very bad
