Hi Everyone:
I hope you are all doing well, I have been gone too long away from DS. I have been so busy these last few months. I have so many things to share. This year has been a strange year with so many good things happening and some bad. My daughter Jamie gave me my fifth grandchild in August, Daishaun Nicholas was born August 17, 2008 weighing 5 lbs 7ozs. He was 3 1/2 weeks early but was just fine and is getting bigger every day. My son Travis who plays football for the Sooners had an awesome year as a weakside linebacker. He broke the record for tackles made by a freshman and was also voted the big 12 defensive freshman of the year. As awesome as a year he had, we had some sadness as well. Travis and his girlfriend had my sixth grandchild on October 2, 08, wieghing only 2 pounds 15 oz. The mother had some complications and they had to deliver her early. She was due on Christmas day but arrived almost 3 months early. Baby Danika was a fighter, but lost her fight on October 28. It was a blow to all of us because she was doing so well for being so small, but she started having problems with her intestines and was getting prepped for surgery when she passed away. I did go to Oklahoma to see her when she was born and have those memories. I get sad at times because she was supposed to be born this week but comfort comes from knowing she is in heaven with Jesus and the angels are caring for her.
I wish all of you a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
God Bless,
Dori
