Been gone too long Mood
Monday, December 22, 2008

Hi Everyone:

I hope you are all doing well, I have been gone too long away from DS. I have been so busy these last few months. I have so many things to share. This year has been a strange year with so many good things happening and some bad. My daughter Jamie gave me my fifth grandchild in August, Daishaun Nicholas was born August 17, 2008 weighing 5 lbs 7ozs. He was 3 1/2 weeks early but was just fine and is getting bigger every day. My son Travis who plays football for the Sooners had an awesome year as a weakside linebacker. He broke the record for tackles made by a freshman and was also voted the big 12 defensive freshman of the year. As awesome as a year he had, we had some sadness as well. Travis and his girlfriend had my sixth grandchild on October 2, 08, wieghing only 2 pounds 15 oz. The mother had some complications and they had to deliver her early. She was due on Christmas day but arrived almost 3 months early. Baby Danika was a fighter, but lost her fight on October 28. It was a blow to all of us because she was doing so well for being so small, but she started having problems with her intestines and was getting prepped for surgery when she passed away. I did go to Oklahoma to see her when she was born and have those memories. I get sad at times because she was supposed to be born this week but comfort comes from knowing she is in heaven with Jesus and the angels are caring for her.

I wish all of you a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

God Bless,

Dori

Hi Everyone!!!

I'm sorry it has been so long since my last journal entry. I have not been losing weight, I actually have been gaining a little bit. I feel like I have wasted these last few months. I need to get back on track, anyone has any ideas? Other than my weight, everything has been going good. Last weekend we drove to Oklahoma to see my son Travis play in the Spring football game, he plays for the Oklahoma Sooners. We had fun watching him play, this will be the first year he will be playing, he was redshirted last year. I drove up there with my daughter Chelsea, my sons Trent and Anthony and my grandson Matt. My other son also drove up with wife Priscilla and my grandchildren, Vangie, Jayson and Mercury. We all got together and went out to eat after the game. We drove back on Sunday. Well thats enough rambling on, I hope you all have a great week!!!!

God Bless,

Dori

Motivation is a difficult thing isn't it. Is there a particular outfit you REALLY want to wear that will help if you hang it where you can see it. I am sending you some mental encouragement. Hope it helps.
Remember - if you don't brush your teeth one night, you don't just give up forever, so you've put on a bit - back on the horse - keep trying. You are worth it!!

Getting Back on track Mood
Monday, March 24, 2008

Hi everyone:

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter!!! Mine was great, my family came over and we barbequed. My family is growing since my kids are growing up and all getting spouses or boyfriends and girlfirends. I have seven kids and 4 grandkids with another on the way, due in early September. Now that Easter is over, it is time to get back on track. I have been struggling around for 2 weeks with gaining weight and I am ready to get focused again. You would think that when you do so well for so many months it would get easier but for me it doesn't seem like that. Well I hope you all have a great week and I hope I will have a loss to report on Saturday!!!

God Bless,

Dori

I bet that was nice to have the family over. Trying to stay on track has been a struggle for me these last few days. Seems like when a holiday or vacation rolls around, I get off track so easily. I need to have a better plan in mind next time! God bless!
