Thanksgiving Day Mood
Thursday, November 26, 2009 | A Positive story

Well, Thanksgiving is here.  I got up at 5:45 this morning to prep the turkey for the smoke.  It started off rough.  What I mean by that is the prep started off rough, not me.  I went to fire up the smoker after seasoning and stuffing the turkey with fruits and honey my wife hollers out to me that she had tied the turkey up and it was ready to put on the rotiserie. We put it on the rod and put it in the smoker and turned on the rotiserie and the strings came off and all the stuffing fell out: she forgot to knot the string.  So I just went ahead and put the turkey on the grate and smoked it that way after restuffing it.  I then went to get my spritz bottle only to find out that my wife had put some kind of cleaner in it.  I had to go find an open store to get a spray bottle. Five hours later the turkey was done. We had to take it to my sisters house. Being a little nervous about the turkey, I sliced it up and took a bite. WOW!  If I may say so it was actually the best turkey I've ever sunk my teeth into.  Moist all the way through and very flavorfull.  There was nothing left to mine and the one she cooked was still half there.  I felt bad for her.

Me? Well it was one of the calmest Thanksgivings I've had in a few years. I enjoyed being there and all my children were there.  No anxiety, no wanting to hurry up and go home, just a nice visit with my family.  Very very enjoyable.

Thank you all. I hope everyone here had as delightful Thanksgiving as I.

Thank you all again,

ray

Thanksgiving Mood
Wednesday, November 25, 2009 | A Happy story

I am doing quite well.  I've been feeling a little down but that's to be expected with Christmas coming and all.  We've had to cancel Christmas again this year because of being laid off. The year before it was because of a plant shutdown in November of 07 and the idiots didn't pay into my unemployment so I didn't start getting umemployment until January of 08.  After recieving help from Heap with our gas and electric from November of 07 to November of 08 they wanted their money paid in full after one year which turned out to be December 08 and it was a couple thousand. So, that screwed up Christmas for 08. Oh well.I just think I had to get this off my chest or something.

As for my meds, I doing really well with them. I'm actually looking forward to going to my sisters for Thanksgiving.  I'm smoking a 9 pound turkey for tomorrow. I'm using cajun rub and stuffing it with fruits and honey.  Can't wait to taste this one.

Everyone have a great Thanksgiving. Take care and be safe if you're driving.

Ray

I know what you mean about spending time with your family. It's so important. I hope your husband finds something. We live in a small town with not much really around us here. Looks like I'm going to have to travel quite a distance if I want to find some work of any value. Good thing I'm feeling better. How have you been?
Take care and Happy Thanksgiving your family.

I have moved my Zoloft from 25mg to 31mg. Even though I am doing much better, I can still feel a little phobia here about taking my zoloft higher. No problem, we can do it and -it will be done.-

Thank you sunshine and bella. I really can't begin to actually describe how much better I feel. I'm getting out and doing things now with very little anxiety if any at all. I'm actually doing things I don't want to do to, like work on my mother-in-laws plugged kitchen sink. It turned out to be a total mess. Never did get it unplugged. But she was happy that I even tried for her. I believe there was no way I could've spent the time with it that I did before the Zoloft. I just kept trying and trying and getting dirtier and dirtier. Oh well, thank you both for your kind and encouraging words.
