Hey DeafEskie, we do share a lot in common. I live with my nose in a book, and I have far too many animals, most rescues. I'm embarrassed to say that I'm getting a new puppy in about a week--a West Highland Terrier. I became a member of the COPD group, because my husband has COPD (emphysema), and he had lung cancer (thankfully caught in an extremely early stage).
I think you are very wise to research your condition. Doctors are so busy that they seem to welcome questions and suggestions. We're fortunate to have the internet for many reasons, but my favorite reason is the wonderful people I have met online, including you. Thank you so much for inviting me to be your friend.

I am diagnosed with the floowing (a mouthful!): Obstructive Sleep Apnea (severity is at 35) and Narcolepsy, Psoriasis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, Fibromyalgia, Glaucoma, GERD, Schuermans Disease (severs Scoliosis/Kyphosis), Hypothyroidism, Premature Ventricular Contractions (an arrythmia) and more. Late manifestations of Congenital Rubella Syndrome.

Chronic Pain due to FMS/CMP/CFs and Psoriatic Arthritis as well as Schuerman's Disease which consists of a 90 degree C curve in cervical spine. OA in spine as well.
