Feel so good today , as found out i have now got my date to have the SCS ( spinal cord stimulator) fitted on the 8th July. I feel a bit nervous as i know its a big thing, but also really excited that the possability that i will loose some off this pain and reduce or loose the morphine. I soooooooo hope it works.
One thing im not sure on though is that im also having breast enlargements in september, as a feeling better pressie from myself lol, but they say i will have to have it done in hospital now as you carnt do it in a day stay clinic, because of risks ???? what risks????? i dont understand this , as i thought you could still have surgery one the scs was fitted!!! oh well ill ask them. Might see if anyone on this site has both !!!!

I am so sorry you are hurting so much. If it makes you feel any better please know that you are not alone. I also wasnt expecting the kind of pain I had just after surgery. Honestly they should tell the patients that before they cut. The doctors make it sound like it is a simple surgery but really it is quite severe. The second part of the surgery will be easier because the worst part is over. When do you get the permanant one put in. I hope they do it the same day that they take out the one you just got. Anyway for now just try to rest and use ice packs for the swelling/pain and know that you are more than half way there. Did the doctors give you a muscle relaxer? If not then maybe call and ask for one. Soma or zanaflex works pretty decent. I use zanaflex 4mg and couldnt make it without. It will get better(promise). Keeping you in my thoughts,Christine
