Environmental Engineer. Developed allergies in my late teens. Now have asthma problems which my doctor thinks I've had since a child and it went undiagnosed. i feel as if I am slowly becoming allergic to everything: penicillin, (slight allergy to Vitamin C), bees, cats, pet dander, pollen, grass, molds, wool, certain lotions.... each year it's a new thing :(

Dogs (agility and rally) - which I am unwilling to give up. Horseback riding, gardening (yep - even with pollen allergies), outdoor stuff like hiking.

A week ago (4/23/09) I was told I had uncontrolled asthma. Before that I knew I had asthma when around cats, but did not think it was a daily/chronic issue. Doctor thinks I've had it since childhood and that I was never diagnosed. Things I have always struggled to do now make sense. Just started treatment, my peak flow test was at 65% and I'm hoping to get at least a 20% improvment. Now that I'm getting proper treatment, I hope to eventually become a runner and do a 5K.
Have had severe allergies the past 10 years. Seems each year I become allergic to yet another thing.
