I am in my early 40's. I have worked as an LCSW in the state of florida. I also have multiple sclerosis. I like motown, R&B, and some hip hop like flor ida and t. I am in recovery and work on being a good person everyday. I like to exercise at the gym, and watch television shows like CSI and Law and Order Although I do not get out dancing very much I do like to dance. I attend 12 step meetings and although I am not a religious person I try to talk and ask God for help everyday.

Hi rebb thanks for your hug. I know it has been difficult lol to answer your question I was able to get my main doctor to believe me that this is more than just my "body weight" and he is now on my side. My neuro visit is in less than 2 weeks now so I am on the right track, but my intuition is telling me that my MRI results will be enough to tell the rest of my family that I am not making this up. So I can be about 90 percent sure a diagnosis is coming soon. I have had too many problems for the mri to not show something towards that affect.
So thanks for your hugs, and by the way my first name is Carl. Frank is part of my last name which is "franklin" lol but it's okay we haven't talked much!

Close Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
Type: Relapsing-remitting MSI was diagosed with ms in 1995. I am grateful I can still walk and do some things.I wanted to join this group to have others to relate to with the same challenges that i go through. I can give and receive help through others with the same diagnosis.
Treatments
- Avonex Not Working
- I discontinued avonex after three weeks because i fell into a deep depression.
- Baclofen Working / Worked
- baclofen helps alleviate stiffness in my muscles lessening the pain from ms. I do not notice any negative side effects.
- Copaxone Working / Worked
- I take copaxone currently. I think it works as I have not had a relapse since using it. I do not like the site reactions as i get lumps and itching from the injections.
- Neurontin Working / Worked
- I take neurontin daily for pain in my body. It definetely works and I am grateful for it. It can make me tired.
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- I have taken prednisone steroid dose pak and it helps with physical symptoms that arise from having the ms. I only take it when the symptoms are bad. I have had anxiety and hunger with the medicine sometimes.
- Provigil Working / Worked
- I take provigil off and on it does give me the energy to accomplish tasks however I take a very small dose as it tends to make me anxious otherwise.
- Rebif Too Soon to Tell
- I had to discontinue taking rebif due to depression from the interferon.
- Swimming Working / Worked
- I use to swim daily however I got away from it and now i just go to the gym and do cardio.
- Tysabri Too Soon to Tell
- I took Tysabri for a short time and stopped because I was afraid of the information surrounding possible brain disease.
- Zanaflex Working / Worked
- I took zanaflex but do not remember how it affected me. My doctor prefers baclofen.
