Journal Entry for September 26, 2007 Mood
Wednesday, September 26, 2007

We switched Shaun's meds yesterday.  He's now on 50 mgs of Vyvanse for ADHD and 10 mgs of Abilify for bipolar disorder.  I was worried that the 50 mgs of Vyvanse would be too much, but he's been fine today.  Not acting drugged or sluggish or anything.  Definite plus.  Tomorrow we are going back to Atlanta to see the neurolgist.  Shaun's left hand and arm have been turning blue and cold.  I chalked it up to left-sided weakness caused by the cerebral palsy, but the pediatritian wants us to follow-up with a neurologist.  It seems like its something new all the time.  People are going to start thinking I sit around and dream up excuses for taking my children to the doctor.

I have been so hungry all week.  I know its just stress.  I'm worried about money.  Shaun needs a tutor who works with children with learning disabilities.  That's going to cost us over 300 dollars a month.  I feel awful complaining about this, because its not his fault.  But he really needs this, so we'll work something out.  On the plus side, he had a wonderful day today.  No violent outbursts and seemed generally cheerful.  I love it when he acts like that, the way he acted when he was smaller.  Now I'm rambling, so I'll say goodnite.
