About Me
I am a 54 year old nurse,wife and mother. I have 3 children 4 grandchildren and my last child is 13 years. My philosopy is to live each day to the fullest and love the people in you life greatly everyday. I learned this from my recent brush with daeth and it is a good way to feel.I work as a hospice nurse and that give you a whole new perspective on life in general.I love dogs and cats and they mostly rule our house. We have a yellow lab a nd a chiuhua. and 2 cats. Love life all.

Close Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)
I was traveling on a cruise to the carribean on a cruise. Two days into the cruise I found myself in ICU in ST, Thomas V.I. I spent 10 days in the hospital before they would let me fly home with O2 and could no retain the Sats in the 90's and was scared to death. I am 54 with a daughter of only 13 so I'm very greatfull to have the chance to hopefully raise her by the grace of God
Treatments
- Coumadin Working / Worked
- Finally got theraputic on Coumadin Since this is my second DVT and this time it resulted in a PE I will be on Coumadin for life
- Walking Somewhat Helpful
- I am trying to buidup my endurance but I still tire very quickly. I have no stamina.
- Oxygen Working / Worked
- I have O2 because my sats would fall to the low 80s during the night. The only problem is the mask hurts under my nose.
Close Pulmonary Embolism
Well first off my email and password would no longer worl for this site so I am not new just changed I used to the trut. I am 54 and 2 months ago had a PE while on vacation in the carribean.
Treatments
- Coumadin Working / Worked
- Just got therapuetic after about six weeks now only have to get blood drawn every 2 weeks.
