Good to hear that things are going well for you! I too have had some really good news lately and am 2% better than I was 6 months ago!! Here's hoping that all stays well for each of us, at least for the rest of this year!! We have the last of our children's weddings in November, and who knows what is on the cards for 2010?? We just need to hang in there and find out!! Take good care and continue to stay well -- love Cath
I’m With You
thanks for your kind words! No, Australians do not celebrate the 4th, and after being here for 40 years, I also tend to forget. Here the 'holiday' is Jan. 26th - Australia Day, which is much the same as July 4th for Americans!!
I’m With You
Hi!! Things are starting to come a bit unstuck, but we're onto it and my oncologist has ordered a full skeletal survey, BMB, and a renal ultra sound before my next appointment on Aug.5th. He's trying to decide just which way we should jump this time and I'm trying to pretend its not really happening because I'm not actually experiencing any additional pains or problems. Therefore it can't be bad, can it? That's my thinking at the moment and I'll face it when I have to!! Other than this everything is fine -- very cold because its winter down here, but even thats wonderful after the really hot summer that we had. Thanks for your message! Cheers, Cath

So...you were in southern California while I grew up in the north! Oh well, it was a remote possibility!! Hope all is well with you -- I've just had a bout of kidney stones which I treated myself because if I go to hospital I usually end up with the bugs of others -- not good. All better now! -- cheers, Cath

Hi, I was just diagnosed with MGUS at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN in March 09. I know this is a pre MM condition but I've had severe symptoms; angioedema which is a serious allergic type reaction. Anyway I've been in the hospital a lot and my oncologist just told me I'll have to have marrow taps every 3 months as I've got a genetic abnormality in my marrow. I've had to retire due to this illness. I'm scared and depressed. Glad to have found this group. Hugs to all
