I'm doing GREAT!!! I'm excited because I haven't pulled for 4 days and that is a HUGE accomplishment for me!!!! I can't wait to reach one week!!!! I never thought I could do this, but thanks to all the support for my friends here at DS I'm doing it!!! :D

Close Trichotillomania (Hair Pulling)
Type: TrichotillomaniaI have had Trichotillomania for as long as I can remember! I began noticing around 4th or 5th grade when my parents divorced, but after researching trich, it points back to things I've done before then. I lived with it for so many years, without seeking out help. I finally started getting help fall 2008, from a psychiatrist who specializes in OCD/Trich. I also have OCD, ADD, and Generalized Anxiety.
Close Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
I have had OCD ever since I could remember. I think it started around 4th or 5th grade when my parents got divorced. I never got help for it until fall '08, and now I see a psychologist that specializes in OCD, and have been going to individual and group therapy. I am also now seeing a psychiatrist, and we are trying out different meds for OCD/anxiety.
Treatments
- Lexapro Not Working
- My body did not react at all to Lexapro.
