43 years old teacher, Live on farm have done heavy lifting all my life. Widowed at 36 and have been very independent since then trying to do it all. Back problems have really slowed me down after being hit by a drunk driver 4 years ago.

Close Back Pain
Just had discogram done and found that my two lower disc have tears. The bottom disc is almost wasted, pressure test was 11psi and the 2nd one up was torn with a pressure test of 12 psi. The third one which was normal held 90 psi. My question is, What is the best corse of action now. Reading post from everyone on the web has me scared to death with no direction. I want a fast recovery with permant results. Thats all..:)

- Cortisone (Injection) Not Working
- Did not help, facet injections as well. No help
- Epidural Injection Not Working
- Did not help, facet injections as well.
- Hydrocodone Working / Worked
- only when I have to. Makes me hyper
- Ibuprofen Somewhat Helpful
- takes some of pain off.
- Physical Therapy Not Working
- Had to stop, caused more pain. Did this before I found out what was wrong.
- TENS Not Working
- did not help
