Mom of two, stepmom of two with a husband I adore who has cancer and is fighting the fight of his life. I believe in the Golden Rule: do unto to others as you would have done to you. I am a curious person; I love to learn every day; I appreciate simple things like the beauty of a sunset or the sound of birds. I like to think that I keep improving myself as I get older. Life hasn't always been easy, but it hasn't been dull, either!

I am married to a Cancer Warrior fighting Renal Cell Carcinoma. We have four children: two mine, two his from our first marriages. He was diagnosed in 2007, and is on his third treatment. It hasn't been easy!
Open Parenting Teenagers (12-18)
I have two step kids, and two bio kids, all between 12 and 19 years old. My two stepkids are oldest, but very, very immature for their ages. We are dealing with my husband's cancer; and difficulties with his daughter (the oldest child) were among the reasons we separated recently. We are working on our marriage, but I'm looking for advice and hints on how to deal with all of the kids and their needs.
