Affected Areas: Psoriasis of the SkinI first had scalp plaque psoriasis when I was in my late teens. After quite a few years of struggling with it, it just went away. Poof, disappeared. It was wonderful. Now, for some reason, 8 years later, it has come back. With a vengance. I'm starting over with treatments and doctors and derms. It sucks. I've started to have a little achyness too, hoping it is not turning into PsA.
Treatments
- Betamethasone (Topical) Working / Worked
- Using Luxiq foam for scalp. Very expensive, but with diligence, it is clearing nicely. Does come back though after a week-10days. I can tell when I need to start using it again. Like the foam application, does not leave residue in hair, can put it on after shower, then fix my hair with no problems.
- Coal Tar Not Working
- Useless
- Dovonex Somewhat Helpful
- haven't used in years, but I remember it was helpful at the time. Used a lotion for scalp P
- Tazorac Working / Worked
- Clears thick plaques very well so other medicines can get down to the skin. Don't like the gel though. Wish it came in a lotion for easier scalp application.
