Diane-I didn't realize you could keep expanders in for so long. Good luck with the job search. I hope it goes well in coordinating the job search and your final surgery. Have a good weekend. Nice hearing from you, Chris

Hi Diane. How are you? Did you have your expanders removed yet? And implants in? How's the employment issue? If I recall you were going to be out of a job soon? I hope things are okay. Sending you good thoughts, Chris

      Stage: IIA (T1 N1)

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in May of 2008. I hasd a single mastctomy in July nd three rounds of chemo last summer. I hasd todiscontinue chemo because I was allergic to eiter Taxotere or Cytoxin. I asm cancer free and feel graet.

      Treatments

      Chemotherapy Working / Worked
My experience is highy unusual. First chemo, no problem. Second chemo, i wound up witrh an MRSA infection inmy lewftcalf requiring surgery. Third chemo I had an allergic reaction lasting 8 weeks, so I discontinued chemo.
      Mastectomy Working / Worked
I had an overnight staty i te hospital nd not tpo much pain. i left wth a drain that was in several weeks and was hjappy when it came out. No big deal, really. Looking forward to reconstruction and being cancer free.
      Taxotere Working / Worked
This is preiobably the one I was allergic to. Otherwise, noopinion.
