For the intertriginous dermatitis which is frequently a yeast infection one mus remember that yeast and fungi like warm dark moist areas. Prophylactically after a bath or shower, rinse soap off well and towel dry well. Use a hair blow drier to get the skin dry before putting on clothes. For yeast Lotrimin, Lamisil or Micotin (Miconizole) works. Topical cortisone can be used if anti-fungals fail, but remember that cortisone like products can lower resistance to fungi and bacteria.
