Thanks so much for taking the time to write. How great that you got such good news at the last scan - these things give me so much hope. I hope things continue to progress really well for you.

I hate that Marv's scan will be delayed until tomorrow. When Ray has his, we wait about 30 minutes, then the oncologist gives us the results. The cancer center is huge and they have all the equipment and labs on site.
I'm so glad that Marv agreed to the Sutent treatment. It seems to work well for almost everyone. Hopefully, he won't experience any side effects, and just EAT THAT CANCER!!
Hang in there, darlin.
Love,
Ingrid

Hello Dear Becky,
So happy that you had a wonderful birthday and weekend with your hubby. You deserve it!!!
How did the scans go? Do you have the results yet? It's always so scary waiting for those. I am praying that they'll be better than you dreamed possible!
Thanks for asking about Ray. He's doing well, though still quite weak and freezing all the time. He goes out on our screened porch, where it's 90+ degrees) to get warm. Bless his heart! We're unbelievably thankful to be back at home. We have no clue what the MRCC is doing. His last scan was in April. The oncologist has more scheduled for 9/2. Sure he's waiting until Ray is stronger from the Sutent ordeal. I am praying that he will be willing to try another treatment....but he continues to say NOT!
Take care and I hope to hear from you soon, darlin.
Love,
Ingrid

Hi Becky,
I am so sorry that I missed your birthday. I hope it was a special day for you. How are things going? How is Marv feeling?
We're so thankful to be home from the hospital. 22 days was a L O N G time.... not to mention scary! Ray continues to get stronger each day, which is such a blessing.
Please write and catch me up. I've missed you, my friend.
Love,
Ingrid

Close Renal Cell Carcinoma (Kidney Cancer)
My husband was diagnoised with kidney cancer August of 08. He had his left kidney removed and on a subsequent scan a small mass was discovered in his pancreas. This past March he had a pancreatic mass resection where a total of 3 small masses were removed, including a portion of the pancreas. During surgery the mass was sent to pathology where the diagnosis was RCC, the cancer had spread. Another small mass (8mm) was found in another scan since surgery and he is to begin taking Sutent today.
