So much to say, and so sorry I haven't been in touch. I will contact all my friends is the next week or so.
I was off taking care of my mom for about 2 months. Thanks God I had so much accrued leave. After this, I can only say I am thankful that I work for a governmental entity.
When I left for Idaho, I was under the impression that my mom had ovarian cancer that had spread to the liver. They expected her to be gone in 2 weeks. Well, the old lady proudly fooled them all. It turned out it was a severe liver infection. She spent about a month in the hospital, and then was released. However, she had to be taken in for IVs EVERY day and physical therapy three times a week. When I left on Sept. 10, she was almost done with the IVs, but then they extended it for 2 more weeks. She could have gone on pills after that, but she decided to do 2 more weeks of IVs. I got to say that it was pretty close to a miracle, and I am a firm believer in prayer. If you prayed for her, or even thought about it, thank you.
My work was wonderful about the leave, and I can't appreciate them enough. I am going to go visit my mom at the end of the month, but I got a card from her and she said she felt better than she did before this all happened. (She had fallen and when they did a ct or whatever, they found the stuff they thought was cancer. They have now decided that the ovarian cancer was just a cyst.)
Anyway, love you all.

That's wonderful news! You are a good son and I'm sure she's so thankful for you. You have been missed around here a lot.....
