Had a bad followup appointment today.
Lost 6 pounds in the past month (which is good, but doing that through uncontrolled UC wasn't the idea I had of HOW to lose it).
Back up on Prednisone (will gain back weight asap I'm sure).
Humira up to once a week if insurance will pay for it.
Enemas twice a day again.
Can't raise Imuran level any higher because I'm already on the lower end of having it affect my liver.
Trying to get into a study for another biologic since Humira appears to not be working.
Bleeding.
Bathroom 4-9 times a day.
My doctor is even discouraged. I had 10 days of doing great and then without changing anything I just flip flopped right back around to where I've been.
MRI and EEG results on July 15th.
Surgery consultation July 29th.
Looking to consult a naturopath in the meantime.
Natural remedies tried: boswellia, hemp oil, HTP-5, chlorophyll, acidolphilus, bifidus, align, cat's claw, ginger, slippery elm, etc. etc. etc.

If you deal at all with Nature's Sunshine Herbs , my naturopath had me on Nutri-calm, 2 .4 times a day and it helped before mine became so severe. It may be something you want to consider,

Wow; when I saw your journal I nearly cried! You poor, sweet, brave thing! Sorry to hear what you got going on. I know how exhausting all this is; I really hope that you get some relief soon.

Oh Kelsey, I am so sorry, the last I talked to you your Align was working good. You poor poor girl! You seem so sweet and you don't deserve to be so sick all the time. . so are you leaning towards surgery now? Just checking on ya. Hang in there. I am praying for you!
