OUCH!!!!!! Mood
Sunday, August 2, 2009

Dang I hurt!! I don't want to bore you with the details, but there isn't enough drugs to get rid of this pain I have been hauling around with me the last few weeks.  Now my left ankle and foot want to get in on the action.  I did think it was weather related because when we got a little rain yesterday I started to feel better.  Then it got muggier, and hot again, so here I sit in pain.

I looked in the mirror (not advising you do this!!) today and noticed I was really bent forward and I am shuffling like a real old lady would do.  I am trying to stand and walk straight, but it hurts too much.  If I am not careful what happened to my great grandmother will happen to me.  She slumped over all the time and when she died they had to break her back to get her to lay flat!! Could be family urban legend but I don't think so.

A hot shower will fix me up in the morning, but I can't stay in there all day!!

We tried to charge the battery to my scooter today and it won't charge.  Great!! Will have Wayne call the company tomorrow.  I need it in working order "just in case".

My big fat cat Larry is so mean to the baby!! He is always pinning her down and making her cry.  He trapped her tonight in the guest bath behind the toilet, and I had to go and rescue her.  Do any of you know why he is being mean to her?  Its probably jealously, but I need to make him stop before he hurts her.  She is so tiny and skinny it wouldn't take much to hurt her.  She is in bed with Wayne at the moment.  I was so worried about him getting mad about another cat, but he carries her all over and lets her sleep on his big old belly.

Todays weather was fantastic and I feel we wasted it by staying home.  I would have loved to gone for a bike ride, but I don't think I need to be on the back of a motorcycle at the moment!  I tried to get him to go, but he stayed home with me.  He had grass to cut and trees to cut down.

Well time for me to try and get some sleep.  I do wish you all have a pain free night!! Hugs sandy

The cats will get used to each other. When we got our little Grimmy, both the older cats (male and female brother and sister aged 6) were mean to him. If he even LOOKED at Boo she would hiss. Now they all love him. He and Sonic play and wrestle and Boo can be seen giving him a bath at times. It took a few months though. Sandy, what are you going to do about all this pain? Sounds like the Orencia just isn't getting the job done. Hope you feel better tomorrow. Take care.

When I'm feeling poorly I always head toward water, I'm a waterbaby! LOL But seriously to me there is nothing like a nice looooonnnnngggg hot bath. The key is to have someone who will bring you a drink or something to munch on lol. A good book, a magazine, a crossword puzzle...you get the idea. I used to have a little TV that I brought in there from time to time. and Bubbles! Lots of bubbles!

I'm so miserable right now even the bath didn't help. I wish you were nearby because I could really use some real hugs. I have been queasy for about 3 weeks or so and I don't know why but I wish it would go away! Anyway, I am sending you warm squishy healing hugs - the very best kind! love ya, jilly

Water is a great way to loosen muscles. If you live near a YMCA gym, they typically offer arthritis classes in heated water, a good way to loosen everything up gently. They also have steam rooms, which I love to help stretch. It may be time to visit doc and let him/her know about how much pain you've been in lately. As for the baby, yeah, they're all doing their territorial thing and trying to establish who's the alpha. It will settle, but it does take time. Hugs, Lisa

Hey Sandy, SorryI haven't been in touch. I have torn a muscle in my lower back. Stayed off the computer for a week straight and last week just got on to update my journal. I have alot of catching up to do. I so soory to hear about your pain. I'm with you on that issue. The baby's - it will take some time to figure out who is the boss. I think you should get in touch with the Dr. When I funally did - that's when I learned that I tore a muscle. He changed my meds. I went back today and he said it will just take time to heal. You are in my thoughts and prayers!!! Big Gental Hugs, Peach
