About Me
I am disabled with RA and OA, have had 2 spinal decompressions and fusions, soon to have my third. Just recently diagnosed with spinal stenosis, cervical and lumbar. In October of '08 I had anterior cervical discetomy with fusion. ( neck surgery)I also have glaucoma, and diabetes. I love being with my grandchildren, they are my lifeline, all 10 of them. Just trying to come to terms with all the changes in my life and dealing with them. I have a wonderful husband who is my rock, and is trying to understand all that I am going through.

I confuse myself sometimes. There is a theory going around that before we are born, we write a plan for our lives here on earth. It allegedly gets approved by God, and here we are. The purpose of these life plans is to prefect our souls for God (which explains the misery of life in Earth sometimes). I was saying with all that on your plate (in that journal entry), you must have written a sure fire winner! (no way to prove this plan idea real or not ... just reading your entry made me think about that). Have a great day!!!

Oops - I forgot to tell you about pig pickin'. The Pig Man brings his huge old smoker wagon and shoulders and butts of pork - he arrives about 3 am and cooks the meat all day (and usually a big pot of beans). At dinner time the pork is ready and is served pulled with various side dishes and desserts. Really good eating. We add a blue grass band for some singing and dancing. We have about 60 people coming so far and expect more.
And' that's a pig-pickin' Ramseur style - I didn't know about it either until I went back there the first time. Now, I'm a pro!

Close Rheumatoid Arthritis
I have severe RA, and OA through out my body. I recently was taken off Remicade and methotrexate for treatment and put on Orenceia. I also have had two spinal fusions for spinal stenosis, and have recently been dx with stenosis of the cervical area. I have 11 beautiful grandchildren, I am limited on what I can do around the house and in the yard. Some times I feel things popping in my back and hips when I walk, at times my legs buckle and I feel like I will fall.

Close Chronic Pain
I have had chronic back pain for 30 yrs, plus RA, and OA. I also had two spinal fusions with hardware placement. At times when I walk or move just right it feels like something is popping or moving.Most days I can stay positive, but other days I feel like I can't take much more.
