Hi, my name is Heather and I love movies! I went to SOU and majored in Video Production and Film and would die and go to Heaven if I got a job casting for motion pictures. I moved back in with my dad (in January) who is retiring in a week and I still haven't found a job. I'm oober frusterated about that and trying to keep myself from getting too depressed. I have trich. and I'm comforted that I'm not alone in my struggles. I didn't find out others had it until 8 years after I started.

I just wanted to give my newest DS friend a hug! How are you doing?? Just know that I'm here for you..we're all trying to be pull-free! I've succeeded in being two weeks pull-free from my eyelashes but I'm still struggling with my eyebrows and scalp!

Close Trichotillomania (Hair Pulling)
Type: TrichotillomaniaI started plucking my eyelashes when I was about 9 or so. The only "treatment" I got was getting glasses to prevent my fingers from reaching my eyes. Well needless to say, that didn't work. I still struggle through my phases of full lashes and brows to bald lids and thin far-apart brows. I dont have a severe case, but I'm afraid it won't end.

Type: Loss of a ParentI lost my mother when I was 19 which was 4 years ago. I had just finished my freshman year of college and it was difficult seeing my dad start to date so soon after her passing, but that was his way of coping, and I love the woman he is with now. I also lost my grandfather the first day of my senior year of H.S (17) and our family dog during my freshman year of college (18). I had a lot of loss around that time and it was hard, but I know they are all in better places now.
