8 months ago I was switched from Lipitor to Symvastatin & after a short time my hips began severly aching at night & I was unable to sleep. I stopped taking it a month ago, and most of the pain has subsided. I now am back on Lipitor. My legs ache some but it's tolerable. I also gained 12 pounds while taking Simvastatin. I exercise at the gym 3 days a week, walk daily, eat sensibly, but can't get the excess weight off. Anyone else experienced a weight gain?
