I have tourettes syndrome; it DOES NOT have ME! I am currently 16 years old; and I am a sophmore in High School. I enjoy the study of cultures of the fuedal era; especially the samurai culture due to their system of honor and devotion to something higher than themselves in addition to their strong sense of nationalism. I think that we should all live by the samurai's moral structure. I have motor tics and I get harassed a lot by my peers because of it.(I also have a few minor vocal tics.

Isn't it amazing how many uses can be found for one medication? I'm sorry to hear it didn't help you...hopefully you will find one that will!

Close Tourette Syndrome & Tic Disorders
I have Tourettes Syndrome; it DOESN'T have ME! I have many motor tics and a few vocal tics that aren't as noticable.
Treatments
- Clonidine Not Working
- It put me to sleep ALL THE TIME.
- Orap Somewhat Helpful
- taken in tandom with respridal and also worked 'til I was 13.
- Risperdal Somewhat Helpful
- It worked for a few years until my tics progressed at the age of 13.
- Strattera Working / Worked
- using for focus. It isnt 100 effective but it does its job well enough.
- Cogentin Working / Worked
- depending on the day it is anywhere between effective and only moderate.
- Zoloft Working / Worked
- Zoloft especially lately. has been the most effective pill that I have taken.
