Close Prolactinoma
I have had a prolactinoma for several years. It is at 19mm right now and growing. I do not know anyone else with this and my doctors are understanding but they are doctors. Initially I had been misdiagnosed so I don't know for sure exactly how long I have had my tumor. I take bromocriptine, for right now. My main goal is to get my tumor managed so I can have a kid-I am not getting any younger!
Treatments
- Dostinex Working / Worked
- This medication has worked some and I am able to manage the side affects very easily- however the cost is phenomenal! I also hav a VSD heart mumur so the fact it can cause leaky valves worries me and my doctor for these reasons i do not take it any longer.
- Parlodel Working / Worked
- The side affects are staggering for me i literally need help getting out of bed on some days but the cost is doable and it is taking my prolactin levels down.
