Close Myasthenia Gravis
July 15 of 2003 i was dignosed with M.G. and it has changed my life as well as my family output on things i should do...I sometimes feel like i;m all alone with the battle and i have no one who understands me now..
Treatments
- Azathioprine Somewhat Helpful
- Well it helped when i took it for the 1st 6months n 2003.from July to Jan of 04..then nothin...no side effects...
- IVIG Somewhat Helpful
- Besides headaches and sick stomach...it works when it wants to...
- Mestinon Working / Worked
- i;ve been takin it since July of 2003 and still takin it...i;m takin 3 to 4 pills every3 to 4 hrs..forgot wat my effects were...
- Plasmapheresis Working / Worked
- it worked for 4 days then my condition got worser..july 15 2008 is when i had my hospital stay 4 the treatment..
- Thymectomy Considering
- I am going in to have the surgery Monday 19th of 2009. Have tried everything else and my thymus gland is the size of a small grape. The surgery will be under the arms where they dont have to split my breastbone. Having at U.I.C hospital in Chicago..
