About Me
I am the 53 yr. old son of a mother with severe emphysema whose disease has progressed significantly to severe status in the past 2 months. Just a few months ago she was walking with some help and now she is barely able to walk and requires 24/7 oxygen. Pulmonary specialist put her throught thorough pulmonary testing today, echocardiogram on Wed., and an esophogram is scheduled to difficulty (not painful) swallowing. I am suffering watching her deteriorate at such a rapid pace. Any ideas?

Close HIV
I am dating a man who told me on the first date that he is HIV +. I like him very much, we are both in our 50s, and I am planning to take another HIV test myself. I feel like I might be playing with fire, dating, and maybe even getting emotionally attached to, this man when there is so much to risk, both physically and emotionally should he begin to get sick. Any advice?
