So, I ended up in Emerg. yesterday. Went to see my Dr with compliant of abdominal pain(left side), and after waiting almost 2 hrs just to see him, he ends up sending me to Emerg. Thankfully, he called ahead and ordered bloodwork and X-rays. I only had to wait half an hour before they took me in. Had the blood taken and then X-rays, after more waiting. They got me into a bed and then more waiting. Saw the ER Dr and he ordered a CT scan. More waiting. Had the scan, more waiting, then finally Dr came to see me. I don't have anything wrong with me that requires surgery(thank goodness), but they can't see what it is that is causing me such acute pain. Dr says I have a virus in my intestine, so no antibiotics, just have to wait for it to run it's course. Great...why is everything with me an anomoly?If only he could say I have 'this' then I could at least have something to tell the Office Manager at work.

I'm real sorry that you are in such pain. Maybe you could call your doctor and have him explain to you what you have so you can tell your office manager. In the mean time take it real easy. hugs renee'

with fibro pain pops up anywhere. take it easy. maybe it's constipation. i get that a lot. drink water and eat prunes. take a stool softener. don't feel good when can't go to toilet.
