I love foreign languages, foreign movies and travel. Not much travel going on these days! I really like this site. I only joined recently and it has comforted me, I'm grateful.

Please discontinue this med if it is causing so many problems, scaring you, etc. The doc left the decision to you for a reason. Prescription drugs can be very dangerous. Not every drug is suitable for everyone, lots of trial and error involved.

Close Back Pain
SI joint problem, severe pain in tailbone and right back hip. shooting pain down right leg.
Treatments
- Bedrest Working / Worked
- on an icepack
- Epidural Injection Not Working
- did me no good at all. Misdiagnosis, epidural doesn't help with SI joint.
- Heat Not Working
- ice works for me
- Hydrocodone Somewhat Helpful
- I have reduced dosage, apparently the tylenol mixed into it is bad for the liver and I was taking too much. Now I use it for breakthrough pain.
- Physical Therapy Too Soon to Tell
- I am supposed to start after I get a diagnostic/therapeutic injection into the SI joint. I was told to expect 4 - 8 months of PT, and that it will be painful.
Close Depression
Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionI am struggling with marital problems and pain from a back condition. Both situations put me in situations where sometimes all I do is sit and cry into my hands. I am considering anti-depressant medication but have not made been evaluated yet, maybe this week, the back problems have kept me quite busy.

- My 12 year old son is supportive and very kind to me. My husband is unpredictable in this department. Sometimes kinder than kindness itself, sometimes a total jerk.
- Lyrica Working / Worked
- My experience has been good but it is $300 for 90 pills, I take 3 25 mg pills a day. Insurance covers some, I had to pay $47. Interestingly, it affects my mood in a positive way and I have been feeling kind of depressed because of an SI joint problem.
Open Parenting Teenagers (12-18)
I have a wonderful 12 year old boy who has not displayed yet the traditional problems of puberty. He is a young 12 but shows some maturity, admits when he behaves badly and is generally sweet. I worry because my husband and I fight a lot and I am bedridden. How I'd like to help him!

- Patience Working / Worked
- Usually I try to be patient when he tests the limits. Usually I am, and usually it works, though at a certain points I have been known to lose it, if he has crossed the line. He usually apologizes and we get on with things. Patience is good, children always test the limits, mine always pushes back, but I suppose that is normal.

- Time is on my side because he cannot conceive I would ever leave him. I need to line up my ducks in a row and get out.
