Hello All Mood
Monday, October 26, 2009 | A General Update story

Well this is a general update, I went through the first round of  chemo and it was bad and I still have the side effects, nausa, etc.....The shots seem to be the worst I have to give myself  3 per day. but if it  does the job,  if the cancer goes into remisssion than all this will be worth it. Went to the dr today to do blood work cbc count, all is ok at this point so we will be a go for November 2nd to start the stem cell harvest...

Oh yes praise God for the sun that was shining today and the nice weather we are having.....

Amen I almost kissed the ground when the sun came out. Amazing what it does for us. It sure charges my battery. Sorry you are feeling bad but like you said it will all be worth it. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Naomi xo

I noticed your update so decided to check it out. Wow. I really feel for you. I myself have been dealing with cancer issues of my own. I recently had a hysterectomy. It was a bit dicey. I can't have chemo or radiation because of my liver. I even had to have the surgery while awake because of the worry of how the anaesthetic would affect me. I am glad I had it done tho. While in there they found a separate tumour and removed it. I was lucky. The tumour was just entering the cancer stage. My Dr. feels tho that because it was caught so early, I should not need any chemo or radiation, which is good, since I could not handle either of them with the way my health is. Still for the next year, I have to have regular blood checks to see how things are going. I will keep you in my thoughts.

Hello all, hope that all is doing ok. As for me I am playing the waiting game with the dr about when we willdo the stem cell transplant. I have a appointment for blood work and breathing test on oct 7th, then I will see the dr on Oct  13th to set up schedule for procedure.

I would like any advice that any one has on what I need to do, and what I should expect from this procedur. Looks like I will be in the hospital over the holidays, bummer. Has any one gained weight from the steroids? What did you do to lose the weight?

I will be taken my computer with me so that I can stay commected with the outside world,

4-5 weeks is a long time to be in the hospital.

It is hard to belive that the holidays are right around the corner. So all have a blessd weekend. Take care and remember God is the healer.
