Close Multiple Myeloma
Stage: III was told on November 12,2008 that I have Multiple Myeloma. Had not ever heard of this before I was told I had it. My mom had cancer and passed away 9 year ago. So i am not a stranger to cancer, I just not sure what this one is . I started chemo in March.
Treatments
- Dexamethasone Too Soon to Tell
- I take my treatments on Tuesday and Friday for 2 weeks and then 10 days off. The treatment itself is ok, on day of treatment I take 40 mg of the steroid Dexamethasine which makes me hiper, I don't sleep much that night, the treatment takes about 2 hours for it to run through the chemo port that was inserted on my left side, about the 2nd day after treatment all I want to do is sleep, then it is time to start it all over again. The side effect are not so bad.
- Velcade Working / Worked
- They tell me that it is slowing down the cancer, have taken 8 treatments so far. there are not a lot of side effects except for being so tired after treatment,
Close Depression
Type: Clinical (Major) DepressionThere is not much to tell, I do know I have depression, I have had the thoughts of sucide, anger and sleeping all the time.
