Close Pulmonary Embolism
diagnosed with PE on Jan 2,2009, in hospital 5 days. Out and on warfarin 2mg a day now. I had the lovenox injections in the hospital.
Treatments
- Lovenox Working / Worked
- The lovenox worked I guess and i was out of the hospital sooner than my Drs thought I would be. It did however made me sick on my stomach. Had to take phenegran to calm down my stomach.
- Coumadin Working / Worked
- Was out of the hospital and on 7 mg a day which later was cut down to 4 mg and then to 1mg one day and 2 mg the next day now raised up to 2 mg per day.
Close Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)
PE in Dec 2008, misdiagnosed by 3 Drs, one finally suspected something and ordered test of my legs, circulation ultrasound, his office screwed that up and never got it scheduled, resulting in my PE. If they had gotten the test scheduled all my problems might not have happened. My symptoms went on for months after back surgery , which I myself and 3 Drs all related the symptoms to the surgery or that I had another problem in my hip. I got cortisone shots, got rid of the pain for 3 wks.

- Coumadin Working / Worked
- This med is horrible to take even though im on a low dose. I am due to go off in July possibly, mr Dr said last visit I have a blood disorder, didnt say what exactly and that now I might be on warfarin for life. Just waiting on my visit in July to find out.
Open Back Pain
trans sacral fushion with additonal hardware, year out still with back pain.
