About Me
I am 19 years old, and work full time along with go to school full time. I am going for my BS in Interior Design. I am pretty busy all the time. I don't get much free time between the two and also dating somebody on top of that. I have been with someone for over a year now. It has been alright for the most part. I will get into more details about me, and my life in my blogs.

Interests
I love music and TV. I never have time for TV but I love all investigation shows and movies such as CSI, Bones, and so on. I also love scary movies, drama, chick flicks (all girls gotta love those), and pretty much anything thats not stupid humor I guess. Music is great, without it I wouldn't know what to do. When I get mad I put my headphones on and jam out, then I am fine. When I am sad I do the same as well but usually end up sadder because I don't pick the right songs. So really it just all depends on my moods on what I listen to. Art Design Friends Family Avon and so much more.

I am 19 years old and have post traumatic stress disorder, severe depression, anxiety, and have always had problems coping. I have tried many types of medications but have come to realize that the medication isn't going to fix me, it will help me, I can only fix me. My father is a meth adict and is currently in prison, and my mom is great, but seems to have always been looking for her soul mate my whole life. She also has a lot of issues, but doesn't get help.

Treatments
- Cymbalta Not Working
- I took this medication, and boy did it make me worse. I felt like everyone was after me and wanted to hurt me in some way weather it be emotional or physical. I had never felt like this before. I got off of this medication immediately.
- Lexapro Working / Worked
- I am currently taking, and it is working a little. They want to add wellbutrin SR to me cocktail of meds. We will see.
- Paxil Somewhat Helpful
- I took this drug when I was 13 until I was 16. It helped a little but it seemed like I felt more drugged up then anything. Then again I was actively using alcohol and weed along with the medication, so who knows. I don't really remember much of those years of my life.
- Prozac Too Soon to Tell
- Took for a very short period of time. The dr took me off of it because they realized I needed to see a psychiatrist and put me back on my old meds until I met with him.
- Psychotherapy Working / Worked
- Have to start soon. I realized that medication isn't going to fix the problem, that I need to talk about things and fix them, the medication helps the problems.
- Support from Friends & Family Working / Worked
- Only from my grandma it seems...
- Wellbutrin Considering
- Very expensive about $87 for genaric, and $202 for name brand. I was prescribed a few days ago and haven't bought it yet... I am kind of excited to take this medication because I can't get anything to work. I currently take lexapro, buspar, topomax (for migranes not siezers...), and he wants to add this to my cocktail. I am having problems with interest, zero sex drive, weight gain. He said this will help...hopefully.
- Writing Working / Worked
- I use to write all the time. But since I started working full time, and going to school full time I have kind of cut keeping a journal off. I am starting back up right now :)
- Zoloft Working / Worked
- I took this medication from age 16-18. My dr at the time kept telling me there was nothing wrong with me and that I just had a little depression. She put me on this a buspar and sent me off. I kept going back and telling her i didn't feel right and it wasn't enough. She finally told me she didn't know what else to do that I was unfixable...exact words even. Lets just say I don't talk to that dr, nor that facility anymore.
Open Teen Anxiety
I am 19 years old, and have had problems with anxiety and severe depression, and was just diagnosed post traumatic stress disorder. I am having problems dealing with anxiety, and medication isn't enough. Maybe discussing with people like me will help.
Open Migraine Headaches
Treatments
- Caffeine Working / Worked
- Seems to make it worse if I use caffeine on an every day basis but if I use caffeine right when I feel the migraine coming on. It either slows the process down, or stops it. It just depends on how fast I catch the migraine.
- Excedrin Working / Worked
- I love excedrin, but rarely use it because I don't want to rely on it. I use it when I am to the point of laying in a dark room in a bawl crying. The only reason is because I am taking a preventative and don't want to add to many medications with the rest of my daily meds.
- Topamax Working / Worked
- This medication is AMAZZZING. I was terrified to try it at first because my psychiatrist told me it is a seizure medication. My Mom has seizures and refuses to take any meds because they make her sick. I went from migraines every day of my life, to never feeling better. The only side effects are tingling of hands feet and face which I can deal with.
- Tylenol Not Working
- Nothing over the counter has every worked for my "headaches" I finally got an answer as to why at 19 years of age. It all makes sense now.
Open Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
I am 19 years old and just diagnosed with ptsd. I hate it, I wish I had never heard the name of this illness. I have had severe depression and anxiety attacks my whole life, along with migraines.

- Art Working / Worked
- I am an artist and this seems to take stress away. Whenever I get into a project in college I forget about whats bad going on in life. There are no side effects of art...
- Paxil Working / Worked
- Took when I was younger...it was alright but I felt druged all the time. I was also using weed and alcohol at the time of this medication. It could of been a cause and effect situation I was only 13-16. Now it is illegal for anyone under the age 18...nice huh.
- Psychotherapy Considering
- I have to start soon..
- Topamax Working / Worked
- I take this twice a day for migraines. It works great. I couldn't imagine life without it right now. Side effects I experience tingling of the hands feet and face...which I can deal with considering migraines are MUCH MUCH worse.
- Zoloft Working / Worked
- Took this for a few years. It worked ok, but still felt half full.
