I know what you mean about not knowing or not wanting to involve friends too much. Even though my friends were a part of my son's life (who passed away last year) I still have trouble talking to them about him. I don't really have much advice for you.. It's easier for me to write to my friends about my feelings. I hope you are doing okay this holiday. I know holidays are really tough.

I'm so sorry for you loss. My son passed away from Leukemia (ALL) almost two years ago and it seems like yesterday. I know your pain and I know the journey is difficult, but we are all here for you.
      Peace and Love...Shawn

I have lost a very close sister 2 months ago

      Treatments

      Crying Too Soon to Tell
cry at least everyday, if I skip one day, day after is much worse. It seems to be helping, I feel exhausted afterwards but reliefed as well.
      Keeping Busy Somewhat Helpful
Got back to work one month later and it seems to keep my mind busy. Got back to social activities (preferably sports, walks). I starting writing a journal that has also been helping me.
      Music Working / Worked
Music seems to be the most efficient so far. I am listening to it more than ever actually, to new types of music but also to the songs that remind me of my sister,
      Prayer Too Soon to Tell
      Reading Working / Worked
It helps me tremendously to read - in particular books that related to the loss of someone.
      Remembering Somewhat Helpful
It helps talking about my sister, remembering the good moments we had together but it also brings deep sadness to such drastic change in our lives
