I had the biopsy done on my thigh. The doctor said 7 - 10 working days before we get the results. It is sent off to a derm pathologist. So, some time this week I should hear the results. Tuesday after Labor Day I had the brain MRI done as directed by MD Anderson. My doctor at MD Anderson called a local facility and ordered the scan. They said it would take 24 hours to read it and then they would send it on to Dr. Papa (my cancer doctor at MD Anderson). I'm thinking maybe he got it Thursday or Friday. They usually send scans (on CD) by Fedex. So waiting on that this week. Finally thing we are waiting on this week is to see what Hurricane Ike is going to do and where it is going to go. I so hate hurricanes. I love FL with the exception of the months June through September. So damn hot that it is impossible for me to get outside. I am sick within 5 minutes and throwing up. The month of August is the worse not only the hottest month but hurricanes usually begin in August and run through September. The season does not end until November 30th, but thus far have not had any experience with one past the first week of October onward.
So, I'll post again, once I know the results of the biopsy and the brain MRI.

Hey girl, no unfortunately still waiting for results. Got a message on Friday from MD Anderson that they had received my brain MRI and were uploading it into their system so they could compare it. Then of course Houston got hit by Hurricane Ike on Saturday. They are on back up generators and their own water system. So think it maybe be a little while before I hear anything. Called about biopsy resutls on Friday and they have not called me back yet. So, going to call again this morning. Think I am headed for KY. One of my older sisters (4 yrs older than me) will see a surgeon today. They found a mass in her breast on Wednesday, did mammo on Thursday, meet with surgeon today. She is a recoving alocholic and went on a drinking bing on Thursday (only that night, thankfully). I know why she did, she is SCARED beyond words. Since cancer and I have been dancing for awhile now, I think I will head home and just be there to just provide her with support. Hopefully when they do the operation maybe they will find it is not cancer but a bad infection, block duct or something. However due to its size they know it has to come out, that is why they set everything up for surgery. So we are doing a lot of praying and hoping it is not breast cancer.
