Close Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)
I was diagnosed in September 08 and continue to suffer the effects of a DVT/PEs (both lungs). I have asthma and severe anxiety, also chronic leg pain. update 8/5/09--I am officially clear of the clot, told it left damage but is completely resolved. I have no genetic factors they can find, so the final blame goes to Ocella birth control pills. Every day gets a tiny bit easier, anxiety wise.
Treatments
- Coumadin Working / Worked
- Makes me dizzy, headaches, but so far no clotting in the leg/lungs apart from the original clotting. I have also found I can't eat very much with it, I've had to cut my food intake by a third, eat NOTHING green at all, and eat more frequently and less quantity to keep my INR stable. update 8/5--I am officially off coumadin and so far so good. I'm very glad to be off the pill. Now to deal with the ulcer it left behind...
Close Pulmonary Embolism
I was diagnosed with DVT/PE on September 30th, 2008. The clots in my lungs are gone, but I still get SOB and various symptoms due to adult onset asthma. I also suffer from pretty bad anxiety, courtesy of this situation.
Treatments
- Lovenox Working / Worked
- The clots in my lungs broke up over a period of a week or so (I felt them breaking up, even, weird) and I've had multiple CT scans since that showed clear lungs.
Open Asthma
Type: Adult AsthmaI was diagnosed with adult-onset asthma in November of 2008 after suffering from two PEs.
