About Me
Diagnosed with Scoliosis @ age 13. 1st surgery @ age 14. Now 34 & Scoliosis has progressed over the years with the curve & rotation. Heart & lungs compromised & out of normal position. On supplemental Oxygen since 2001 & diagnosed with Sleep Apnea in 2003 & sent home with Bi-Pap machine. I'm 4ft 10 in & around 110 lbs. Currently in the process of seeking referral to Hey Clinic in Raleigh, NC. Update: Got referral & found out Hey Clinic doesn't accept Medicaid. Qualify for SSDI & Medicare, so going to apply. Will be a long wait until approval & Medicare benefits to kick in.

I don't have any support groups. I am looking to join an online support group.
Treatments
- Harrington Rods Somewhat Helpful
- Scoliosis has progressed even with rod, although without it I could be worse or dead. Looking to see if revision surgery is possible.

Diagnosed at age 15. Teachers noticed problem in 1st grade. Told no hope. May stay as it is or get worse. Sight is 20/200
