      I had a double PE 3 years ago which nearly killed me. The medics think it was as a result of a recent operation, being on low dose HRT and an undiagnosed DVT. Treatment with haparin and warfarin and morphine initially for the pain. Off work for6 months. Still have lung pain and am very prone to repeated chest infections always in the same are of my right lung, where the initial pain was and the scarring exists. I have lost some lung function and am unwell more than i ever was before

      Treatments

      Heparin Working / Worked
      initial treatment - worked fine
      Coumadin Working / Worked
      had this for a year to keep the clotting levels down. now off it and clotting evels are still as far as i know fine
